Unlike other traditional strings which look similar, a Lazer string built for a traditional bows is designed to be the exact length ordered AFTER it has settled in. This takes the guess work out of how long the string will actually be after it has stretched.
To order the proper length Lazer string for your longbow or recurve follow this instructions.
Make sure the bow is set at the brace height you desire.
With the bow strung measure the bowstring on a straight line form end to end.
Lazer strings for traditional bows are available in whole inch and half inch lengths.
Lazer string lengths are very precise and can be shortened and lengthened. It is safer to shorten them though.
With that in mind if your string measures more than 1/4” longer than the available whole or half inch length go to the next size which is longer.
Example: if your current string measures 58 3/16” you can order a 58” and lengthen it or get a 58 1/2"string and shorten it. If your current string measures 58 1/4” then order a 58 1/2” Lazer string and shorten it.
